Shantakumar, Director, ITMU Law School, Prof. Duong Anh Son, Dean, University Economic Law School, Vietnam National University, Prof. Le Vu Nam, Dean, Faculty of Law, University Economic Law School ITM University signs MoU with National University of Vietnam May 14, 2013 was a historic day for ITMU Law School as ITM University signed an MoU with the Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City. The MoU is aimed towards collaborative development by establishing a formal working relationship. To that extent, the MoU envisages the creation of a project titled UEL-ITMU Collaboration whereby areas of mutual interest such as; conduct of short term courses, students exchange and faculty exchange programs, journal publication, lectures and seminars, research and transfer of research information be explored through joint efforts. While Prof. S Shantakumar signed the MoU on behalf of Vice-Chancellor, ITM University; Prof. Duong Anh Son, Dean of University Economic and Law and Prof. Le Vu Nam, Dean of Law School did the honours on behalf of the Rector of University Economic and Law.
ITM Law School entered into a MoU with the National Law University, Delhi, on November 9, 2011. Prof. Ranbir Singh, Vice Chancellor, NLUD, and Prof. Krishna Dev Rao, Registrar, NLUD, Prof. Prem Vrat, Vice Chancellor, ITM University, Brig. S.K. Sharma, Registrar, ITM University and Prof. S. Shanthakumar, Director, ITM Law School were present at signing-in ceremony. The MoU emphasizes on jointly conducting continuing legal education programmes for industries, law firms and civil society, both in India and abroad. Joint support for research, study, activities and material development for research will be implemented as a result of this agreement. In short, this MoU will pave the way for both the Law Schools to gain from each other's expertise and facilities.
ITM Law School and Chartered Institute of Arbitrators-India (CIArb-India) entered into a MoU on March 10, 2012 to spread the reach of both organizations so as to be mutually beneficial on a non- exclusive basis. The MoU was signed at Hotel Lalit, New Delhi by Prof. Shanthakumar, Director, ITM Law School and Mr. Lalit Bhasin, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India as well as Chairman, CIArb-India and was witnessed by Mr. Sunod M. Jacob, Faculty, ITM Law School and Mr. Chandrakant Kamdar, Director, CIArb. Pursuant to the MoU, ITM Law School would help run courses in Gurgaon and elsewhere in India under the auspices of CIArb–India. CIArb-India in turn, will also maintain on their website where it may be relevant, that ITM Law School is its knowledge partner located in Gurgaon. In the process, ITM Law School became the First Law School in the country to collaborate with CIArb. |
